A beautiful morning glory on a broken rusted fence;
A perfect orchid already losing its petals;
Mountains sprouting hair;
Snow and cherry blossoms on the same branch;
Holding on and letting go.

This recent body of work reflects a move towards dialectical thinking. Within these images you will see the daily struggle to embrace paradox, as it presents itself repeatedly.To live in truth is to hold all possibilities. Increasingly it seems what is most authentic means having to simultaneously hold that which appears to be mutually exclusive.

Commission History

I am a quilt artist with over 25 years experience. In addition to my quilting, I am a psychotherapist with a private practice in Silver Spring. I believe in the transformative power of creativity. All of my pieces are original, one-of-a-kind works of art. I am available to accept a limited number of contracts for commissioned pieces.
